Attribution and provenance
Readers should be able to identify who authored a work, which edition they are consulting, and whether the text is a source, a summary, commentary, or an adaptation.
Versions and memory
Corrections and new editions should preserve a recoverable relationship to earlier states. A revised text should not silently erase the historical record.
Public access and appropriate custody
Public reference editions, glossaries, maps, and selected readings make the work approachable. Internal registers, unpublished deposits, personal records, and operational materials require their own custody and access decisions.
Transferable responsibility
The Charter and Academy emphasize continuity beyond the founder’s personal memory. Stewardship includes documented decisions, defined roles, review, and preparation for future custodians.
